January is such a hopeful time for becoming our best selves---eating cleaner, exercising more, stressing less, etc.
"New Year, New You" is the mantra of the month it seems. If only it were as easy as waving a magic wand or having a good witch cast a spell on us so we could make daily choices that were consistently in support of our wellbeing.
The inconvenient truth of sustaining one's health is that there is no magic wand and it takes a great deal of effort and intention especially as we age and the tide working against us.
Good news is, when we have a foundational Why for maintaining our health habits, it gets easier and becomes a new default way of being. What once seemed like a big effort becomes a new norm. And the rewards are profound and long-lasting. It's kinda magic like that.
