In this season of gift-buying madness, I invite you to pause and consider (as reflected in this Ghandi quote) the gift of your health. It's easy to take for granted when we have it.
When facing health impairments, our days and finances can become much more challenging.
My hope is that you cherish and appreciate your health and mobility not just in thought but in daily actions. That you not wait for a catastrophic call-to-action to become a proactive caretaker of it. That you claim your spot in the driver's seat, put your hands firmly on the steering wheel, and be an intentional and alert driver (i.e. with your daily health habits for nutritional eating, regular exercise and proactive stress management). Navigate a solid course to serve you well for your lifetime. While detours are normal, it's the roads we take most of the time that matter the most for our health.
Our health is truly our greatest gift in this life---not just for ourselves, but for those we love as well.
To your good health!
